The students illustrated their new listening skills by role-playing a counselling session with course organiser, Duncan Lawrence. Duncan received much-needed help to over-come delusional fantasies involving his membership of the boy-band JLS. Carolyn Day, the course’s co-organiser, says she was thrilled by the students’ hard work and commitment over the course of the week. Duncan commented:"I was struck by how humble and honest most of the learners were. At least half could benefit from the next Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills." One student added: "I feel the course has been good and has taught me how to communicate better with people." |

Today more than twenty students, including fifteen 14-16 year olds on the Bridge to Achievement course, were awarded a Level 2 Certificate in "Introduction to Counselling". Principal Simon Norton presided over the awards ceremony.
