Our mission is to empower all our learners to achieve lifelong success.
OUR VISION
Our College is a learner-centred community, focused on developing excellence in subject knowledge and skills, teaching and assessment, and responding to the needs and interests of our learners, employers, and the wider communities we serve.
We are committed to becoming an outstanding College, realising our vision through a culture of continuous improvement.
OUR LEARNERS
We deliver our mission and vision by:
Providing pathways for around 1,500 16-19 learners – many from disadvantaged backgrounds – to qualifications, higher education and jobs – with over 300 going to University each year.
Providing some 1,300 individual adult learners with new, vocationally relevant skills and recognised qualifications to help them progress at work or find jobs.
Increasingly meeting employers’ demand for skills by training around 1,200 of their existing staff in the workplace.
OUR VALUES
We believe and follow three core values in our dealings with each other and the wider community:
Respect Each of us is of equal value, so we treat all people with respect.
Responsibility Each of us is responsible for creating a safe, welcoming environment for learning.
Quality Each student works hard and experiences the highest quality learning and teaching.
You will see these around the College, but more importantly, they should be evident in how you are treated whilst studying here, and in how you treat others.
Commitment, responsibility and respect are our watchwords. Try to keep these in mind, and if you feel the College is not living up to these high standards, let us know. You can find details of our Freedom of Information Act by clicking here.
