Orpington College

The College held a competition to find a name for the new building. Winner Martin Baker suggested The Ozone. Martin is in his third year at the College studying a BTEC National Diploma in Media Production and he was awarded a prize for his efforts. 

The Tower building has been completely refurbished, and the new building “Ozone” is home to a study and IT centre with state-of-the-art, eco-tech computing facilities. All the classrooms also have the latest Smart Boards and the latest learning resources available to students. 

The new canteen and social area for students, “The Hive”, replaces the previous limited facilities with more space and better quality. The entrance of the College has been moved and is now on Lychgate Road rather than the market square. 

This successful re-development to Orpington College has provided state-of-the-art learning facilities for the community and a new campus atmosphere for students.
